“Keep Believin’” – A New Chapter Begins

I’m honored to share the worldwide release of my new single, “Keep Believin’,” available now on all streaming platforms.

This song holds a very special place in my heart. It’s one of two faith-based pop songs that will be featured on my upcoming album, “If We Believe – Kevin I. – Then and Now,” set for release later this year. The other is the album’s title track, “If We Believe.” Together, these songs represent something entirely new for me—my first recordings in the contemporary Christian music space.

For those who have followed my journey, you know that my roots have always been in AOR, pop, and rock—from my early career in the ’80s to my return to recording with My Continuum in 2025. So why faith-based music now?

The answer is deeply personal.

Before I made the decision to return to music after a long and fulfilling business career, I made a quiet covenant with God. It wasn’t something I approached lightly. In fact, I wasn’t even sure it was possible. After more than 40 years away from singing, my voice was, frankly, in terrible condition. The vocal cords are muscles—and like any muscle, they need to be used. Mine simply hadn’t been for more than 40 years!

I went from once being a confident, highly trained singer with a wide vocal range to struggling just to hold a steady note. It became clear very quickly that determination alone wouldn’t be enough. In my daily prayers, I asked for guidance—and for help. I told God that if it was truly His will for me to return to music, then I would need my voice back.

What followed was very humbling.

I started again with baby steps. There were moments of doubt, frustration, and vulnerability. But slowly—through persistence and faith—I began to experience breakthroughs. There was a sense that something greater than me was at work through the process.

That feeling stayed with me all the way to my first recording session in Los Angeles with my producer and composer collaborator Lance Jyo, and engineer Raul Ferrando. Walking into the studio, I was nervous—more than I let on. I had always taken pride in being a consummate professional - prepared, confident, and ready. This time felt different.

And yet, in that moment, I was reminded of a line from Sunset Boulevard:
…I don’t know why I’m frightened, I know my way around here…

So I said a quiet prayer and stepped up to the mic.

Thanks to Lance and Raul’s patience and kindness, I had the chance to warm up and ease into it. And then something incredible happened—my voice came back. Not all at once, but enough. Enough to hold the notes, to feel the connection again, to regain that sense of confidence.

It felt like a miracle.

From there, we went on to complete My Continuum, which I’ve always described not as a comeback, but as a continuation—of who I was, and who I’ve become. It marked a new chapter shaped by experience, gratitude, and perspective.

I initially thought that would be the closing of that chapter. But as it turns out, it was just the beginning.

Encouraged by the response to My Continuum—from both listeners and the music label—I felt inspired and encouraged to continue. And somewhere along the way, everything came full circle. I knew I wanted to express my gratitude in a meaningful way. That’s where these two songs were born.

“Keep Believin’” and “If We Believe” are, for me, an offering of heartfelt thanks. They are expressions of faith—not in a preachy sense, but in a heartfelt, personal way. They reflect a journey of rediscovery, trust, and hope.

At this stage of my life, success is defined differently. Of course, I hope my music connects and resonates. But more than anything, it’s about creating something that has purpose—something that reflects truth, gratitude, and joy.

And in that sense, I couldn’t be more fulfilled and happy.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

“Keep Believin’” is available everywhere via all streaming services worldwide.
