A Note from Kevin
“While I sometimes jokingly call myself the "Susan Lucci of local music" for having three nominations and no wins as a singer, I remain incredibly proud of that recognition. In an industry that rightly honors and favors traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music, I'm grateful that we were able to carve out a space for a sound that was not part of the local mainstream. That my music received that attention is something I will always be grateful for.”

"...a singer to reckon with."
In his review of the debut album Kevin I., critic Wayne Harada praises Kevin's "credible vocal performance" and "full-bodied, robust sound." The album is described as a "tidy collection of contemporary soft-rock," with Harada noting that it firmly establishes Kevin as "a singer to reckon with."
The review highlights the "life and vibrancy" of the tracks and celebrates his signature tune, "Fairy Tale," as "a joyous ballad, rich with romantic nuances." Harada also commends Kevin's songwriting abilities, pointing to a collection of songs that, while not strictly for the disco, would certainly "enhance a dance gathering."
